chemical skin peels

Chemical peels

Chemical peels are cosmetic treatments that can be applied to the face, hands, and neck. They are used to improve the appearance or feel of the skin. During this procedure, chemical solutions are applied to the area being treated, which causes the skin to exfoliate and eventually peel off. Light peel, medium peel, and deep peel treatment may be recommended based on the extent of cleansing preferred by the patient.

Dermabrasion

Dermabrasion

Dermabrasion is an exfoliating technique that uses a rotating instrument to remove the outer layers of skin, usually on the face. This treatment is popular with people who wish to improve the appearance of their skin. Some of the conditions it can treat include fine lines, sun damage, acne scars, and uneven texture. Dermabrasion occurs in a dermatologist’s office.

Leukoderma

Also known as Vitiligo, Leukoderma is a skin disease that causes loss of skin pigmentation (melanin) that leads to skin whitening. In severe cases, the white spots cover almost all parts of the body, including the scalp, face, and genitals. Leukoderma cannot be treated as it is a permanent condition. Light therapy, medication, and surgery are the three prime treatment options for this disease.

PSORIASIS

Psoriasis

A common skin condition, Psoriasis is a long-lasting autoimmune disease that causes red, itchy, and scaly patches on the skin. This skin condition periodically improves and worsens, especially with the change of season. Light therapy, topical treatments, systemic drugs, or biologic treatment may be prescribed by the expert, based on the extent of discomfort caused to the patient by this condition.

acne

Acne

Acne is defined as a skin condition that results in pimples or zits,  which includes whiteheads, blackheads, and red, inflamed patches of skin (such as cysts). Acne generally appears on the face and shoulders, but its signs and symptoms may also appear on the trunk, arms, legs, and buttocks. In some cases, oral antibiotics or contraceptives may be advised to reduce acne. However, in severe cases, interlesional corticosteroid injection may be recommended to help with painful acne.

Eczema

Eczema, also known as atopic dermatitis, is a chronic skin disorder that involves scaly and itchy rashes. Eczema is often accompanied by symptoms like oozing blisters, ear discharge or bleeding, dry skin, changing skin colour, skin redness, and inflammation. Severe cases of eczema are treated with phototherapy, a medical treatment in which the skin is carefully exposed to ultraviolet (UV) light.
